This I Recall to My Mind

21 This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.

22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:21-23 NKJV)

This passage from Lamentations is a good one to recall each and every morning. If we can remember that we can do all things “in and through God” there is nothing that is too difficult. And we can renew this belief every morning by spending a little time in scripture and prayer.

Even when you feel distant from God, He is there. We cannot run and we cannot hide from Him, even though we may feel like we want to at times. That is the enemy and our human weakness speaking to us. It is false evidence appearing real (F.E.A.R). We must not let the enemy or our human weakness win out. God is far bigger than them both.

With the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because He has compassion on us that does not fail.

Reflect on: Your fears and anxieties, renew your steadfast hope in God every morning!
